Jazz 3 (Ages 13 & Up)

Our Jazz 3 class is designed for dancers ages 13 and up who want to continue building strong jazz technique while growing as confident performers. Classes focus on strength, flexibility, coordination, balance, rhythm, and musicality while advancing skills such as turns, leaps, jumps, kicks, and dynamic combinations. Dancers are challenged to refine their technique, improve performance quality, and develop greater precision and control in every movement.

Throughout the season, students strengthen their artistry, stage presence, and confidence while learning the importance of discipline, teamwork, and perseverance. Jazz provides an exciting outlet for self-expression and helps dancers become versatile performers through energetic choreography and engaging music.

While not required, Jazz 3 pairs exceptionally well with Ballet 3. Ballet develops the strength, flexibility, balance, and technical foundation that naturally enhances jazz, making the two classes an excellent combination for dancers who want to continue progressing and becoming well-rounded performers.

Dancers in Jazz 3 have the exciting opportunity to perform in both our Winter Showcase and our End of Season Recital, giving them the opportunity to showcase their hard work and create lasting memories on stage.

A proper jazz dress code allows instructors to clearly see body alignment, technique, and movement while helping dancers move comfortably and confidently throughout class.

Required Attire

• Leotard of your choice (any color or style)
• Fitted shorts or fitted leggings may be worn over the leotard
• Hair must be securely pulled away from the face in a bun, ponytail, or braids
• No jeans or dresses

Jazz Shoe Requirements

• Classic leather slip on jazz shoes are required
• Girls: Match your skin tone
• Boys: Black

Ordering Jazz Shoes

To ensure every dancer has the correct style, color, and fit for class and recital, jazz shoes may be conveniently ordered through the studio's front desk.

Families are welcome to purchase shoes elsewhere; however, all dancers must wear the required shoe style and color for recital. We highly recommend ordering through the studio to ensure the correct fit and a uniform appearance on stage.
