Hip Hop 2 (Ages 9 to 12)

Our Hip Hop 2 class is designed for dancers ages 9 to 12 who love energetic movement, current music, and expressive choreography. Dancers develop rhythm, coordination, strength, balance, musicality, and body control while learning age-appropriate hip hop techniques, grooves, footwork, and combinations. Classes are upbeat, engaging, and encourage dancers to build confidence while having fun.

Throughout the season, students improve performance quality, memory, and stage presence while developing teamwork, discipline, and self-expression. Hip hop allows dancers to explore their own style while learning to perform with precision and confidence in a supportive, positive environment.

Hip Hop 2 is a great class for dancers who enjoy high-energy movement and want to continue building their skills in one of today’s most popular dance styles. Students in this class have the exciting opportunity to perform in both our Winter Showcase and our End of Season Recital, giving them the chance to showcase their progress and create lasting memories on stage.

Hip Hop Class Dress Code

To ensure a safe and comfortable dance environment, please follow the dress code below:

• Wear soft, comfortable clothing that allows for a full range of movement.
• Wear clean tennis shoes that have not been worn outside to help protect the dance floor.
• Hair must be pulled back and secured away from the face.
• No jewelry, including necklaces, bracelets, rings, or large earrings, for safety during class.

Recital Requirement: This class requires clean, all-white tennis shoes of your choice for the recital. More details will be provided as the performance approaches.
