About This Class
Ballet 3 (Ages 13 & Up)
Our Ballet 3 class is designed for dancers ages 13 and up who want to continue developing their ballet technique in a positive and encouraging environment. Whether you have years of experience or are discovering ballet for the first time, this class focuses on building strong technical skills while helping each dancer progress at their own pace.
Throughout the season, dancers work on strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, posture, musicality, and artistry while expanding their knowledge of ballet terminology and technique. Students are challenged to refine their movement quality, improve body control, and develop confidence, discipline, and perseverance. Ballet also encourages focus, attention to detail, and self-expression, creating skills that benefit dancers both in and out of the studio.
Ballet 3 is an excellent choice for teens who want to improve their technique, complement their training in other dance styles, or simply enjoy the beauty and artistry of ballet. Dancers in this class have the exciting opportunity to perform in both our Winter Showcase and our End of Season Recital, giving them the opportunity to showcase their growth and create lasting memories on stage.
Requirements & Dress Code
Ballet Dress Code
A proper ballet dress code allows instructors to see body alignment and technique while helping dancers move comfortably and confidently in class.
Required Attire
• Leotard of your choice (any color or style)
• Ballet skirt, fitted shorts, or fitted leggings may be worn over the leotard
• Hair must be secured away from the face in a bun or other neat hairstyle
Ballet Shoe Requirements
Required Shoes
• Bloch Performa stretch canvas ballet shoes are required
• Girls: Pink | Boys: Black
• Studio Price: $26.95
Ordering Shoes
To ensure all dancers have the correct style, color, and fit for class and recital, ballet shoes may be conveniently ordered through the studio's front desk. While families are welcome to purchase shoes elsewhere, all dancers must wear the required shoe style for their class level and recital.
