Our season runs from mid August through May.
Hit The Floor Dance Studio offers a wide variety of dance classes for all ages. Our dance classes are designed to teach movement and control to help with their journey through dance. We also offer recreational and competition classes for all ages, so there is something for everyone!

Age 2 - 5

Tumbling

Ages 2 - Up

A combination of acrobatics and floor gymnastics for dancers. Class focuses on basic tumbling inverted skills, flexibility, control and balance.

Pre-Dance

Ages 3 - 4

A fun and structured exploration of tap, ballet and group work. Creativity, confidence, motor skills, and follow through with directions emphasized.

Pre-Ballet

Ages 4 -5

A fun and structured exploration of ballet.
Creativity, confidence, motor skills, and follow through with directions emphasized.

Pre-Tap

Ages 3 - 4

A fun and structured exploration of tap.
Creativity, confidence, motor skills, and follow through with directions emphasized.

Ages 6 and Up

Ballet

Ages 6 and up | Beginning to Advanced

Ballet is the foundation of all dances. It emphasizes technique, strength, and proper body alignment. Ballet class consists of barre work, centered graceful combinations and controlled jumps and turns, and a routine.

Jazz

Ages 6 and up | Beginning to Advanced

This is a high-energy fusion class that combines the technique of jazz & the movement of ballet. Jazz styles explored include

Hip Hop

Ages 6 and up | Beginning to Advanced

A fast-paced and exciting class that introduces students to intricate popular movements to hip-hop beats and lyrics. May include breaking, popping, and locking.

Tap

Beginning to Advanced

Creating rhythmic sounds with your feet (similar to drum and musical instrument sounds) ranging in difficulty from shuffles and flaps to tricks and wings.
